Belt protection devices include belt type anti tearing, mesh type anti tearing, longitudinal tearing, under speed, comprehensive protection, anti blocking, deviation, rope pulling, emergency stop and other protective devices.
a. Belt type anti tearing - bend the flat iron into an arc and weld 50mm bolts below, connecting both ends with steel wire ropes and travel switches. When a hard object on the belt touches a flat iron or bolt, the travel switch acts and the belt stops. Protect the belt from being scratched by hard objects. Installed in front of the belt feeding point, between the upper and lower belts.
b. Mesh anti tearing - Connect the four corners of a square mesh bag with a width equal to the belt width and a length longer than the width to the four travel switches using steel wire ropes. The travel switches are fixed to the upper belt frame and can be used as support frames if necessary. Installed between the upper and lower belts. When the belt tears, material may leak onto the mesh bag, causing the travel switch to act, protecting the belt from further tearing.
c. Vertical tearing - It is composed of a baffle installed above the lower belt and a travel switch, installed in front of the tail drum of the belt conveyor. Function: To prevent materials on the lower belt from getting stuck between the belt and drum, damaging the belt and drum. When the material touches the tail baffle along the lower belt, the travel switch acts and the belt stops. Timely inspection and cleaning are required.
d. Underspeed - a proximity switch installed on a non driven drum that sends a periodic signal to the dispatch room when the drum rotates. When the belt breaks or slips, causing the installation proximity switch drum to not rotate properly. Upper level alarm and underspeed parking. Timely inspection is required. e. Comprehensive protection - The motor comprehensive protector, abbreviated as comprehensive protection, is installed on the drawer of the distribution room and monitors the current and voltage of the motor in real time. If the motor experiences overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, missing items, etc., it will be fed back to the comprehensive protection system. All aspects of the comprehensive protection are set within a range, and if it is within the range, it will be displayed on the upper computer. If it exceeds the range, an alarm will be triggered to stop the vehicle. Timely inspection and cleaning are required.
f. Anti blocking - using an anti blocking heavy hammer switch, installed in the chute or chute mouth, vertically stationary. When there is material accumulation or collision, causing the tilt angle of the heavy hammer to be greater than 20 degrees, the internal switch will disconnect and an alarm will sound to stop. It is necessary to check in a timely manner whether it is accidentally bumped or blocked in the chute.
g. Runaway - consisting of two sets of switches installed on both sides of the belt, in a normally open state. When the belt deviates slightly and collides with the deviation switch, the light deviation switch will disconnect, and the upper computer will alarm and not stop. The belt continues to deviate, the switch for re deviation is disconnected, and an alarm is triggered to stop the vehicle.
h. Emergency stop - Cut off the power supply on site in an emergency manner. When on-site personnel notice an emergency situation, press the button in a timely manner to stop the equipment.
I-pull rope switch - a manually operated safety protection device consisting of a pull rope, mechanical transmission mechanism, and switch. When an abnormal phenomenon occurs or endangers personal safety during the operation of the belt conveyor, anyone along the conveyor can easily pull the rope on site. By closing or disconnecting the switch contact, a stop command is sent to the electrical control of the belt conveyor to achieve emergency stop. The rope switch is equipped with a mechanical locking mechanism that requires manual reset to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel and determine the location of the fault point. Using single-chip microcomputer technology and an intelligent rope switch with position indication and display, the fault location can be determined more quickly and conveniently.
