How to deal with belt conveyor deviation

Apr 02, 2024

The adjustment of the belt deviation of the belt conveyor should be carried out when the belt conveyor is running without load. When adjusting, it should be adjusted on one side, not both sides at the same time, and the range of adjustment at one time should not be too large. Adjustments should be made appropriately according to the operating conditions of the belt. The specific methods to deal with the deviation of the belt conveyor are as follows:

1. Loading roller deviation adjustment method

When the belt conveyor belt deviates in the middle, the position of the roller group can be adjusted to adjust the deviation. Which side of the belt is deflected, which side of the roller group moves forward towards the running direction of the belt conveyor, or which side of the roller group moves backward.

2. Roller deviation adjustment method

Adjust the belt conveyor deviation problem by adjusting the driving roller and reversing roller. The installation position of all rollers must be perpendicular to the center line of the belt conveyor. If deflection occurs, the belt will deviate. For the reversing drum, if the belt deviates to the right side of the drum, then the bearing seat on the right side should move forward. If the belt deviates to the left side of the drum, then the bearing seat on the left side should move forward, correspondingly The bearing seat on the right side can also be moved backward.

3. Correction roller deviation method

The outer surface of the drum has machining errors, uneven wear or adhesion on the outer surface of the drum, resulting in different diameters, and the belt will deviate to the side with the larger diameter. The belt deviation problem can be adjusted by replacing the roller or cleaning the attachments on the surface of the roller.

4. Belt and joint deviation adjustment method

If the belt is used for a long time, aging deformation, edge wear, or the joints remade after the belt is damaged will be incorrect, the tension on both sides of the belt will be inconsistent, causing the belt to deviate. In this case, the aging and deformed belt must be replaced and re-installed. Make tape joints.

5. Moderate tension adjustment method

The tension of the belt conveyor is not enough, and deviation will occur when the load is slightly larger. If the tension is insufficient, the stability of the belt will be very poor, and the impact of external interference will be greater. In severe cases, slipping will occur. For belt conveyors that use winch tensioning or hydraulic tensioning, the tensioning stroke can be adjusted to increase the tensioning force.

6. Bracket deviation adjustment method

If the belt deviates to the same side when running and is serious at a certain position, it means that the roller bracket or the frame is not aligned. It is necessary to correct the diagonal of the bracket or the horizontality and verticality of the frame, and replace the severely distorted roller. stand.

7. Adjusting the offset roller method

Generally, when the deviation range of the belt conveyor is not too large, the groove-shaped deviation adjustment roller can be used to automatically adjust it.

8. Vertical roller deviation adjustment method

If the belt always deviates to one side, a vertical roller can be installed on the side of the belt that deviates.
